Veteran Enrollment Policy
FL Beauty Academy proudly welcomes Veteran and Military-Connected students. In accordance with VA and State Board guidelines, all approved Veteran students must complete their training fully in person.
​
At this time, hybrid or online cosmetology instruction is not available for Veterans using VA education benefits. Veterans are required to be physically present in class to receive and maintain program approval and certification.
​
We remain committed to supporting our Veteran students with high-quality, hands-on training, consistent attendance structure, and full access to all student resources.

Beauty Academy Topics

Hair Design
At Faith Johnson Beauty Studios & Academy you will learn different hairstyles and methods of hair design. You'll also learn how different products interact with the hair and how different products may interact with different clients' hair types.

Hair Cutting
Cutting and styling are major parts of the FJBSA curriculum. The cosmetology program will teach you how to understand what your clients want, and how to execute the latest styles. You’ll learn about the latest tools, techniques, and haircutting trends. You will learn the principles of haircutting as well as how to build and maintain a book of clients.

Color & Texture
Understanding how to give clients the color and texture they want is both an art and a science. Students learn the skills required to apply a variety of color and texture results. Our bold curriculum shows you how to mix and apply color, as well as how various coloring tools are used. Hands-on lab projects help you master how to determine a client’s current hair color, how to create new colors, principles of salon safety, and more.

Basic Skin Care
Basic skincare is an important skill set for all cosmetologists. Understanding skincare opens doors to ever more career possibilities and ensures that our graduates know how to recommend, apply, and sell skincare products. Understanding the basics of anatomy and physiology also enables you to perform challenging but all-important services centered on the sensitive head and face area, perhaps the most important area of any client’s beauty regimen.

Business/Retail Training
Students master all the basics of the cosmetology business. The curriculum includes resume creation, job search, management principles, and more. Many of our graduates aspire to one day own their own salon, and at FJ Beauty Studios and Academy, we teach the skill sets central to success.

Mission Statement
We are dedicated to providing an opportunity to pursue a career in the Art and Sciences of Cosmetology. It is our desire to lay a foundation in both theory and practice that will prepare our students for an exciting journey leading to high self-esteem and a quality lifestyle that prepares a professional beyond the state board. We strive to exceed not only what is expected from us, but also what we expect of ourselves. Our school is located right beside our full-service salon studios where students get hands-on training, internships, and mentorship with professionals who are succeeding in their prospective area of the beauty industry. FL Beauty Academy will prepare the future cosmetologist well beyond the state board.
Faith Lenise has been in the Beauty Industry for over 12 years. She has always had a passion for hair design, healthy hair, and skincare. She developed her skillset early on by experimenting with different hair techniques on friends and family. Her US Army peers even got weekly services right from her barracks dorm room. Using her creativity, she created and mastered different looks with styling for the career woman as well as evening wear by adding extensions or simply choosing styles that matched personality, face, and one's choice of style.
